Technical Topic “ISO 45001 Occupational H&S Management System”

ISO has developed a new health and safety standard: ISO 45001- Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Requirements to help employers reduce workplace risks. ISO 45001 was published earlier this year. The standard follows the plan-do-check-act system as used by ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems and takes into account other national and international standards.  Come see how ISO 45001 can affect the way your business chooses to manage safety and health risks.

Speaker Doug Rush, CIH, CSP, CHMM

Doug Rush is a hands-on results driven Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional services leader. His greater than 25-year career spans many industries including: oil & gas; consulting; waste management, ground water remediation; demolition; asbestos abatement; construction; plastics; chemical manufacturing & refining; machining; general manufacturing & assembly; railroad; hospital; and government & military environments.

Doug is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). His major accomplishments include: 1. Founding partner and previous owner of 3 successful professional services businesses with a staff of up to 40 fulltime professionals. He is currently the founder and owner of Scopus Consultants, Inc. 2. Dual Bachelor Degrees in Industrial Management and Business Administration, 3. Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies, 4. Retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant with over 20 years of experience leading programs and managing HSE professionals for USAF entities around the world. 5. Comprehensive management of professional services across international borders.

Parking

A limited number of designated visitor parking spaces are located in a surface lot on the north side of the building. Alternatively, please utilize the parking garage directly south of the office building. You may enter the garage from eastbound on Park Row or northbound on Innovation Park Drive (formerly named Chronicle Drive). The gate arms will open automatically as your vehicle approaches. Please adhere to posted traffic signage inside the garage and 5 MPH speed limit. All garage levels and marked spaces are available for visitor use.

Lunch

Wood Group has an onsite cafeteria and coffee shop available for all meeting attendees to purchase their own lunch. The Connections Café features hot meals daily, soups & salads, a grill, deli items, pizza, desserts, beverages, and Grab & Go items. The Perk coffee shop offers Starbucks drinks, yogurt, smoothies, and Grab & Go food items. The cafeteria and coffee shop are both located on the ground floor of the Stallion building. *Please note, only credit & debit cards are accepted.*
