PPE Donations – Hurricane Harvey

Posted: Sep 11, 2017

Region III and Gulf Coast Chapter are working together to provide PPE donations to those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Please see details below:

In the Houston area – Medsafe is warehousing all donations.

1. If anyone wants to ship donations

a. Email Cindy (busytxgal@gmail.com) using PPE Donations as the subject line. Let me know what is being shipped in terms of items and volumes. And the method of shipping so we can try to keep track of everything.

b. Ship/Drop off to: MEDSAFE 4200 Underwood LaPorte, TX 77571 Attn: Burk Shaw, President – ASSE Hurricane Harvey PPE Donation2.

If anyone wants to do a direct purchase of supplies, you can contact MEDSAFE at 800-330-9240 or 281-476-5392. You’ll need to inform the staff at MEDSAFE that you are purchasing PPE suppliers for the ASSE Hurricane Harvey PPE Donation.

MEDSAFE is providing the supplies as close to cost as they can. If you do not have an account with MEDSAFE then you should expect to pay by credit card – otherwise it will delay getting the order processed due to setting up the account. MEDSAFE has a “wish list” of PPE from us to make it easier on their folks and anyone who wants to donate items. To make it easier MEDSAFE has created an account where you can purchase online.

In the Corpus Christi area – REPCON is warehousing all donations. If you’d like to ship or drop off items please email me the list of items (same as above busytxgal@gmail.com using PPE Donations as the subject line). The address is: REPCON Inc 1138 Heinsohn Rd Corpus Christi, TX 78405

Hurricane Harvey ASSE Fund

Posted: Aug 31, 2017

Fellow ASSE Members,

Many of our communities have been gravely impacted by Hurricane Harvey and the associated flooding in the Houston area. As our families, friends and loved ones recover from this horrible event, please know that the Gulf Coast Chapter’s Executive Committee is committed to help in any way possible. A fund has been established to help our members in need. Please take a few moments to read the message from Steven Gray, ASSE Region III V.P. on how we can all help those members who need it most during these difficult times.

Hello Members of ASSE,

Like all of us, the last several days have left me at a complete loss for words. While the news repeated statements such as devastation, epic, and unprecedented I stood by feeling helpless, anxious and eager. Through the abundance of text messages and emails I received from friends and family across the country, I echoed time and again, we’ll be back…better than ever…and dare I say, it’s going to be honor to play even a small part of that ASSE was founded to help prevent accidents – however, when natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey occur, I believe its our obligation to help those in need.  There is no better time than now for us to join hands and help our members and others in the community affected by the storm.  We have an great organization that is built to do amazing things.  ASSE Region III will be coordinating efforts to support volunteer and donation efforts. We hope to help our fellow members directly impacted by the storm first, then their families and then hopefully help the entire city. So here we go.  You donation will directly help in one of the ways below:
