Topic An Overview of Airgas USA’s Approach to OSH & Emergency Response to Release of Hazardous Materials

Tony will share how Airgas, as an organization, incorporates a focus on behavioral safety, occupational safety, & process safety to eliminate accidents & injuries in the workplace. He will also share how the Airgas Emergency Response Organization (AERO) responds to incidents involving the release, or potential release of hazardous materials.

Tony Grassi is the Director of Safety & Compliance for the Airgas USA, LLC Gulf Coast Region. Airgas USA is an Air Liquide company that is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical & specialty gases, as well as welding equipment, hardgoods & safety products.

With over 40 locations & 700 employees within the region, Tony directs the Airgas safety & compliance initiatives & activities within the South Texas, East Texas, Central Louisiana, & South Louisiana areas.

Tony has over 23 years of experience in the Industrial Gas industry with roles in Fleet Safety (Cylinders & Bulk), Occupational Health & Safety, Cryogenic Field Service Training, & Quality Control.

Tony has spent the last 17 years as a safety professional & is certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) & Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). He has been an ASSP member since 2007 & is a 12-year U.S. Navy veteran.
