Topic Cognitive Biases in Incident Investigations
Join us on August 8th as we hear from Angel Simmons of vPSI Group on Cognitive Biases in Incident Investigations. Angel will address some common cognitive biases, how they affect incident investigations, and what can be done about them.
Speaker Angelina Simmons, vPSI Group, LLC
Angel is a Principal Consultant with vPSI Group, LLC, based out of their Houston, TX, USA, office. She has worked there since 2008, beginning as an Analyst and working up to her current position. She conducts workshops on the vPSI methods of investigating and learning from incidents. In addition to training, she does quality control on the actions coming out of incident investigations for many thousands of incidents across hundreds of client datasets. Angel has held many different roles and responsibilities over the course of her career. For the last two decades, she has been focused primarily on safety and continuous improvement. She is a graduate of The University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
