Topic Accurate Hydrogen Portable Gas Detection
In the oil & gas industry, there is a common understanding the carbon monoxide electrochemical sensor is cross sensitive to hydrogen gas. Is this the best way to measure hydrogen? We think not. Joey Alvarado from Draeger offers solutions to measure hydrogen gas at high concentrations, especially in an oxygen free atmosphere.
Speaker Joey Alvarado, Draeger Safety
Joey was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He started in the field of Industrial Hygiene and Safety in March 2008. He received his Master of Public Health Degree in Occupational and Environmental Health at Tulane University in 2017 and received his Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification in November of 2021. He has practiced Industrial Hygiene as an embedded contractor at ExxonMobil in Beaumont, Texas and at Citgo Petroleum in Westlake, Louisiana. He is now a Senior Safety Consultant for Draeger Safety with a focus on Key Account Business Development.
