TOPIC: The Human Elements in Fire Prevention: An Insurance Perspective

This presentation reinforces that effective property fire protection depends as much on people and discipline as it does on physical systems. Human Elements remains one of the most decisive factor in preventing fires, limiting damage, and ensuring that protection systems perform as intended during critical moments.

Applying disciplined control plus foundational behaviors establish safer daily operations and reduce reliance on luck or last‑minute intervention. Equally important are readiness and response behaviors that protect people first while preserving property and operational continuity.

Aaron brings 24 years of fire protection experience to the Lockton Risk Control team. He has worked in a diverse background. Aaron is experienced in first responder, fire and life safety system(s) design, fire protection consulting, construction management, and risk control engineering for commercial property occupancies.

Aaron’s fire protection background allows him to offer his clients sound loss prevention engineering coupled with best practices by analyzing fire hazards, mitigating fire through design, and installation and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems.

Aaron has a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection & Safety Technology from Oklahoma State University
