Topic An Overview of Noise, Vibration and Measurement Issues in Our Environment
Dan’s presentation will be an overview of noise and vibration issues in the workplace emphasizing the employer’s responsibilities, standards and regulations governing noise exposures, and the state-of-the-art methods of determining noise levels and vibration exposures to employees, the environment and in product testing. Dan will further discuss interpreting and understanding the data collected, mitigation and what we should expect in the future.
Speaker Daniel (Dan) Hanley, INCE
Dan Hanley is the technical sales engineer in acoustics for the southwest US region for Larson Davis. Before entering the equipment support and sales portion of the business Dan served as an acoustical engineer for two environmental consulting organizations. Dan holds a BS in Applied Physics with a focus on engineering research in acoustics from the U. S. Naval Academy. He is a graduate of the U. S. Naval War College and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Intelligence Officer in the U. S. Navy Reserve. Dan has had the privilege of his research being published with the Acoustical Society of America.
