The SHE Professional, Environmental serves as an environmental contact for all federal, state, and local regulator bodies, ensures compliance with all applicable and product transportation regulations, keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization and to continuously improves environmental awareness & performance at the plant site by developing and leading in the implementation of programs, digital systems, and performance monitoring that will results in the prevention of incidents.

Key Responsibilities
- Interprets and implements local, state, federal and corporate environmental regulations and requirements.
- Maintains recordkeeping and compliance (Title V, Air Permit, Stormwater, Potable Water, etc.)
- Develops, monitors, and provides data for Environmental Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and proposes improvement actions / recommendations
- Investigates and implements continuous improvement processes required to improve environmental practices and standards in manufacturing operations.
- Conducts field audits of environmental systems (i.e. storm water, waste plans, etc.)
- Develops and presents environmental compliance training or orientations for site personnel
- Leads projects to reduce GHG, waste, and energy.
- Provides technical support to key environmental areas including waste water treatment, boiler, refrigeration systems, flare, etc

You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health or Environmental related field of study.
- Required:
- IATA/IMDG knowledge
- US DOT Regulations knowledge
- Air Permitting – Title V knowledge
- ISO 14001 – knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in an environmental related role preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Environmental Regulatory Compliance (Federal, State, and Local) and License to Operate.
- Experience and knowledge of multiple treatment systems (groundwater, surface water, domestic sewage, and industrial wastewater) preferred.
- CHMM or REM certification and a working knowledge of SHE regulations (29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926, 40 CFR, 49 CFR) is preferred.
- Requires an advanced level of computer literacy, basic data entry skills with spreadsheet programs and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
